Handy Backup 7.4 Provides New Options for Database Backup to Cloud!

Novosoft has released the new version of Handy Backup with advanced functionality for backing up popular databases. The update also includes the improvements of online backup modules in order to make saving copies to Yandex.Disk and HBDrive cloud storage more convenient.

The version 7.4 supports backup of PostgreSQL which is known to be one of the most popular databases in the world. The new PostgreSQL plug-in allows setting up a schedule for automatic backup, recovery, and synchronization and will perform all tasks on time even if a user is logged off. The program provides an opportunity to save copy of PostgreSQL tables without stopping the database owing to the hot backup technology.

The update has been applied also to MS SQL backup functionality: users no longer need to stop the whole instance for the restoration, now they could choose and stop just the particular object. With this feature process of recovery will take less time and required hardware resources.

The enhancements have been made also to MySQL plug-in: now users can decide whether or not to allow editing database tables during a backup process.

All renewed opportunities for MS SQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL backup are available in Small Server and Network Server editions or can be added to other versions by a purchase of suitable plug-ins.

The system of notifications has also been modified to offer users more clear and up to date information about the functioning of the program through the wizard and in e-mail messages.
