Powerful Linux Image Backup for Mixed OS Networks Software Functionality Announced by Novosoft
Novosoft LLC, the developer of file backup killer apps, introduced fresh functionality for the Handy Backup utility. The solution is to bring Linux server backup for PCs in mixed OS networks.
Alliance, Ohio, February 7, 2011 - Novosoft, the provider of data backup program services, reported plans for the Handy Backup program development. The software is to present the long-expected backup of Linux computers administrated via a network from Windows computers. The solution is featured as a module of a global program progress strategy directed toward mixed OS network backup control, also providing remote Linux system backup and a lot of general advanced options.
"It is files that has the value, not the architecture. Enterprise computer networks of now are varied. There are people who usually work Windows operating system and those who favor Linux. Latterly there also arrived mobile phones which get a component of those networks too, in some meaning. Up to a moment, the diversity in architectures made it a problem for the backup to run in such various operating system networks. But not anymore. Handy Backup is preparing a great solution: backup of both Windows and Linux workstations remotely in a network ," shared Alexander Prichalov, the head of Novosoft Development Department.
The announced version of Handy Backup software is brining enhanced server backup functionality. The soon to arrive software version will support to back Linux workstations, managing the process over a network from a Windows PC.
Among other released improvements there is the decentralization of computer backup controls. Founded on client-server architecture, earlier Handy Backup has been featuring centralized controls: the management of all backup tasks was worked from a single network administrator computer running under Windows OS. At this time an opportunity to create a data backup from any computer in the mixed operating system network is coming.
With regard to earlier announced and released functionality, like Linux image backup, the program becomes one of the strongest utilities on the corporate backup utility market.
